Conclusion Sections From All the 5th Grade Science Fair Projects That Got Thrown Together at the Last Minute
5th grade science teachers can spot them from a mile away: the science fair projects that got thrown together at the last minute. Here are all the shoddy conclusions that the procrastinators were able to muster:
The sugar water froze faster than the salt water. To find out why this happened, I will need to do more research.
The ice cream melted quicker on a plate than it did in a bowl. Do not serve ice cream on a plate, unless for some reason you want it to melt quicker.
The blindfold test proved that all the different colors of M&M’s have the exact same taste. So, if you and your siblings are fighting over certain colors of M&M’s, you can tell them to stop it, they all taste the same. But the green ones are still my favorite.
A Nerf gun shoots a dart farther when it’s aimed slightly upward, compared to when it’s aimed straight out or downward. This is an important strategy to remember if you’re ever having a Nerf gun battle with your friends and you’re trying to shoot at someone who’s far away.
The VHS tapes in cardboard sleeves broke every time when I threw them out of the upstairs window onto the sidewalk. Some of the VHS tapes that were in cushiony white plastic Disney cases did not break. The cushiony plastic cases aren’t perfect, but they’re better than the cardboard sleeves. If you’re worried that someone might throw your VHS tapes, you should definitely keep them in cushiony plastic cases. P.S. My mom gave me permission to do this experiment with our VHS tapes because we barely ever watch them anyway.
Putting peanut butter on my dad’s slippers did not help train my dog to fetch them. It only taught him to chew on them more than he usually does. I would not recommend using this method for training your dog to fetch slippers, but who knows? Maybe your dog is different.
Compared to the Rose Art marker, the Crayola marker lasted a lot longer. The Crayola drew way more 6-inch lines before it dried out. If you can afford to spend an extra dollar or whatever on markers, you should get Crayolas.
I learned all about which household objects float in water and which ones do not. Mostly, the lighter things float and the heavier things do not. But sometimes it’s vice versa. It depends.
Even though they look the same when you pour them out of their bottles, Wite-Out and Elmer’s glue are very different. Wite-Out does not stick things together like Elmer’s glue. Also, Elmer’s glue is clear when it dries, so you cannot use it as Wite-Out. I recommend using each for its own purpose.
I ran faster in snow boots than I did in running shoes. (But like I said before, my sister might have made an error with the timer.) Even though my hypothesis was not confirmed, I’m still going to wear my running shoes when I play sports, and not my snow boots.
It turns out that a watched pot does boil, but only if you use just a little bit of water.
